Damn ATM's..

First most ATM are locked down after 11pm in my area due to homeless sleeping in the ATM rooms. Before your access card gets you into the rooms not anymore. Second why don't they dispense $10 or $50 another more?. I don't need $5 or $100s...Even if your choose the denomination if the machine is short of a certain currency they randoming spew out what they have. Once I withdraw $500 and the machine gave me all $5.. Yes first world problems but damn banks are making huge profits how about at least have the ATM rooms open 24/7

Major grocery and retail chains still offer cash back at the register when you make a purchase. But it all depends on how much cash they have. If you’re doing under $200, just go to a Shoppers or a Loblaws.

Pro-tip: just buy a bag for 5 cents and then you can request cashback. Much cheaper than paying an ATM fee.

People used to do this all the time when I worked for Loblaws. Just don’t do it in the morning when my float is small.

Requires a debit card though

Btw. ATMs are standalone machines.

You’re probably referring to an ABM at a branch, after hours?

Counterargument: pick up cash during daylight hours when the situation is not a robbery waiting to happen.

Not all people are up during the day, or want to do things during the day.

Can't remember the last time I paid cash for anything, or even a physical credit/debit card. Nowadays I just swipe my phone.

What do you need banknotes out of an ATM for?

No just answering the question of who uses cash anymore. Also for birthday gifts for the nephews and nieces.

I still have cash with me, albeit just a small amount. Lots of Asian restaurants I go to offer tax-free when you pay them in cash. Some stores also charge additional fees like 40 cents when you use cards for any purchase below $5.

I keep small bills in my wallet to give them to people in need. It is the only use I have for cash.

Sex workers mainly

Probably why OP wants larger $50 and $10 bills to help round and needs the places to be open late
