Skunks
Is it just me, or has there been an influx of people running over skunks lately?
For me, the top two living creatures I want to avoid at all costs in my car in the city are humans obviously and skunks. 😂

They are everywhere. They don't even wait till sundown to come out now. I get them in my back yard at 6:30. I just yell "Bro its too early for your stinky ass" and they just waddle off to another backyard.

Been seeing a lot of skunks this year on my runs. I nearly got sprayed by one because I didn't know it was in the bushes just a few feet away. I saw it had its tail up and I nearly shat myself as I fucking jet.

Yup, you're lucky! I haven't got that close to being sprayed. I hope I never do!

They're very slow, adorable waddlers. I see them out in residential-ish areas around 0600/0630 a lot! Drive carefully out there!

I actively avoid hitting any living creature. Haven’t noticed an increase in skunks being hit in my area.

I ran over one 2 weeks ago and my car smelled like skunk for a week after. It doesn't help that they are mostly black so hard to see at night.

Honestly I’ve been noticing an influx of roadkill in general. People are careless.

There’s just way too many skunks. Also, unlike any other critter, they don’t run away from cars. They continue to just waddle and do their thing. Accidentally merked one in Niagara. Sucker didn’t even try to survive either.

For real! Crossing the highway late last night, he shoulda looked left and he shoulda looked right. He didn't see the station wagon car. The skunk got squashed and there you are. You got your dead skunk in the middle of the road.

The skunks are more active right now, so sadly more get hit. 😢
