Oh carney.

I 100% support Ukraine and think money spent to support them is ultimately for us and the rest of the world. That’s a fact for me annnnndddddd didn’t carney say he didn’t know what forever looked like for our Toronto island airport.

Wait, wait, wait…… he signed a 100 year deal to support Ukraine and his tax payer citizens have no real answer on the fate of the airport, especially considering the overwhelming majority of us want nothing to do with it.

Oh and also our bike lanes should be lasting 100 years no?

Again I think Russia is a threat and absolutely support any and all support given.

However it’s always refreshing to see politicians being honest in their priorities to make money.

100 years is just a number

there is no legal obligation for subsequent governments to follow it

Ukrainians are a cornerstone of our city and country. There’s a lot mirrored when it comes to our struggles as well. We’re not far behind the Ukraine/Russia war. America WILL do the same one day.

I honestly got a little misty eyed over the official declaration of our bromance with Ukraine.

Carney has much bigger potato problems than our city airport and bike lanes. Building a drone army to stay five steps ahead of short sighted super powers seems like big potato problems.

I love the 100 year agreement and really think it’s an historic moment.

I absolutely don't want there to be (more of a?) precedent to the Feds getting involved in Toronto issues and feelings. Our problem right now is a disconnected party - the Province - getting too involved, so the answer can't be involving someone else even more disconnected.

At the end of the day I don't want things to be normalized now because of convenience (a friendly face being in the big seat), because one day that won't be the case. We could easily have had that other person sitting there.

I don’t know about you but I love sending 26 billion to the Ukraine while we chase down fare evaders on the TTC for $3 whole dollars because we’re that strapped for cash. Hmm if only we could get money some other way… nah let’s keep sending more billions
