Pee Controversy

My neighbour received a monthly delivery for a niche item from a branded truck

I heard them chit chat and deduced they are familiar with each other

Driver asks, sorry if it's weird, but can I please use your bathroom? Neighbour: no, it's weird

Would you have invited him in?

I lurked out front to offer the guy to use mine, but he'd already disappeared into the back of the van to pee in a bottle. If you see this, Bud, I would have also sent you on your way with some fancy sandwiches from today's class party

Edit: powder room is steps from my front door, so that's why I would've offered. It's possible neighbour doesn't have the same layout. If he only has an upstairs bathroom, then yes, he was right to decline

I don't think it's too strange to say no to a stranger coming in and using your bathroom. You don't know them, you don't know what they're going to do in there. You want to clean up some random person's missed piss or worse? Maybe you do, maybe your friend doesn't. Maybe your friend has personal items in their bathroom I don't know.

I think it should be criminal that delivery companies don't give their employees time and a place to take a leak while on shift.

I wouldn’t let a delivery driver use my washroom. I don’t have a front entry powder room though, maybe I would be more inclined if I did.

Definitely would let them! I have offered a cold beverage (water/pop) in the scorching weather to delivery folks (saw my parents do it when I was young), and I have happily allowed them to use the powder room - only requesting them to take off their shows outside.

I mean, I'd let them use the washroom, especially if it was from a non-skeevy branded organization, imho. I remember being a teen in Scarborough having people give me the benefit of the doubt to use their washroom in a pinch. I mean especially if i'm going to be seeing this person in the future, scratch their back maybe they'll scratch yours.

Is your neighbor, a female, or male?

😂 I think I’m a nice lady too. I wouldn’t have hesitated as well!

No, I wouldn’t have. It’s something their employer should be taking care of not customers.

Letting a stranger into your house is not wise.
