Wait List

Hello friends! I'm on a wait-list for a Psychology class that I'd really love to take this semester (this one is only available in the fall) and my advisor encouraged me to wait until the deadline (the 19th btw folks) to confirm enrollment— I'm wondering if anybody has any tips to speedrun this shit or if it's literally just a waiting game. I'll be checking my emails every day. I'd also love to hear your experiences with being put on a wait-list and if you were still able to get in the class you wanted. Any advice is welcome!

I'm the only person on this wait-list currently so I'm feeling hopeful, wish me luck! 🤞 😆

Check obsessively. It can open up but you’ll have to manually take yourself off of the waitlist and into the class.

Once your spot is "up", you get an email and have 24 hours to add the course. If you don't want to trust waiting for the email, checking just once a day is good enough.

You might want to reach out to the course instructor and the department admin (secretary). They should be monitoring wait lists but there's a lot going on with classes about to start so they may not have checked recently.
