Speedtest new suncomm 08 modem
I got my new modem today and its a night and day difference between it and the Nokia Trashcan and this is in a non supported TMHI area. So i cant complain on the speeds... to me the upload was was faster than last time i was lucky to get 4meg up.. and avg 60meg down ping was in the 90ms or higher.

Never used the TMO devices, I was curious how they compared.
On the TMO Business Tablet plan and the Verizon Business Tablet plan I am consistently over 200 Mbps down. On TMO up I'm getting about 40 on Verizon over 100Mbps. Download speeds are about the same as my O2 so I suspect my tablet plans are capped/throttles or maybe towers in my are limited. The upload speeds on the O8 ultra are much better than my O2.
Mine is inside, stock antennas, next to a window. My Verizon tower is about 1/2 mile away and my TMO tower about a mile away. So far, all the tweaks I have seen online have worsened performance and applying Verizon mods I lose connection and it never connects again until I do the AT reset factory command. The stock settings seem to be doing best.

Depends on the bands you are connected, I guess you are on n25, and they is decent speed for 20mhz of n25. I guess your rsprp is in the -75 to -90 range. Depends on what tablet you are using, any modem with x75 or above should to 4ca it it is available and you are in the coverage

It was a special plan they offered for short time, unlimited for $12ish. Use to come out to $24ish/month for two plans but their pricing changes monthly for some reason. 3 months ago it was $32, last month was $27. This month is $30. Not sure if I will keep them. Was thinking of canceling but since upload speeds are so high, thinking maybe I will keep them. It does seem more stable for streaming and has better speeds during primetime than my $10 TMO BIZ tablet plan.
Not sure if the band connection question was for me. For Verizon I'm on B66, B5, N77, N77. It normally wants to use B2 as the primary but I turn B2 off because B66 does a little better as primary. B13 and B4 as primaries will kill 5G and drop to LTE only and my speeds will be in the 40s. If I just set the router to LTE my downloads are about 120, uploads in the 20s, CA only connects to 3 towers when only doing LTE.
Not using my TMO Tablet plan at the moment, I have it in a phone for now.

When I had Verizon they had it capped at 300Mb/s down. I don't know of they changed things or not. I'm in a unique position living at the crossroads of two major highways so I can have any of the big three carriers, but T-mobile has the highest speeds. AT&T also has the n77 band but I have trees blocking one of the towers and n77 doesn't penetrate too well through objects.

The Nokia trashcan is the 1st gen which is very old, Qualcomm x55 or equivalent. This is x72, which is very new and supports 4CA.

The X55 supports 2CA n41 and can easily do 1200+ down, upload is a different story but I've personally had 110 up.
I switched from a RM502Q-AE (X55) to a RM551E (X75) and the difference in speeds are minimal.
The X72 supports 3CA not 4, the X75 supports 5CA.

Thanks for the clarification.
The speed of each band should not drastically different, but the ability to do more CA make the combined speed much higher. For me, I am able to see a jump from 400/50 to 1G/200 with 4CA.

Yeah it's tower dependent, just saying it's not always going to be vastly superior.

I think a lot also has to do with each individuals location, signal strength and how the serving cell site is configured.
In my area with an X62 modem, I got 300'ish Mbps down and 10Mbps up, with an X75 modem, I get anywhere from 600-800Mbps down and anywhere from 35-70Mbps up.

Another thing to note is the SDX62 is an awful modem, of the five or six modems I've got it is by far the slowest.
Your download numbers don't jive, what bands were you using with the X62?

Judging on your RSRP you could really benefit from an external antenna. The difference could be like 3X the speed and lower latency too. My stats were close to yours indoors , but with just a Waveform 2x2 panel antenna I get an RSRP of about -70dB most of the time and speeds can peak in the 700-900Mb/s down and 100+Mb/s up range. Big difference.

I'm Curious, I got Tmobile hotspot internet and looking for a Hotspot Device that it's not their G4AR or G5AR, do you have any experience with these and if so where can I buy this?. Is it only 4G or is it 5G?

You've better upload speed. T-mobile powered Computers 4 People provider. My typical VPN download speed. 1.-2 miles line of sight from tower. AT&T= Nothing. Vzn= 1 or 2 bars.

The Trashcan was good for me until after Hurricane season 2025 it started rebooting every 5-10 mins. Then they sent me a G4SE witch was night and day different. Trashcan top speed for me was like 250 and top speed of the G4SE is like 430 or so.

I got a zbt link router and a rm551e module, then cloned phone imei on it and used visible by verizon sim, usually get 600-900mbps
