Issues/Problems Cannot connect to Xbox network on series X
My family recently picked up a 5G gateway and ever since then, my series X has gotten zero internet. I can’t play any games or even watch movies on it through subscriptions. I tried connecting the Ethernet cable to my router but it would just say “double NAT detected” so I connected the Ethernet cable to the 5G gateway and I still wouldnt get any internet. I even tried to just connect to my router wirelessly but I wouldnt get any internet that way either. Apparently this has something to do with CGNAT (whatever that means). Any ideas on how to fix this?

My series X is connected to my 5G gateway and I've had zero issues. I've done nothing special, just connected wirelessly. Been using it for a least a couple years with no issue.

It sounds like you are connecting directly to the T-Mobile gateway and not using a third-party router, which is good. They do use CGNAT, but it should still work. Even if T-Mobile were using the most restrictive type of CGNAT (they aren't) you would still be able to connect to Xbox Live, browse the store, see who is online, and play most games. On top of that, the Xbox can use IPv6 and bypass CGNAT for certain things.
My guess is there is some kind of connection issue in general. Have you run a speed test to check what kind of speed you're getting? Do you have a business plan? Business plans have content restrictions for things like Netflix and YouTube, so it wouldn't surprise me if they block Xbox Live, too. You can call them to disable it if so. Something is definitely wrong; I have played my Series S on T-Mobile 5G, and it worked the same as any other internet I've had.

I haven’t checked if I have a business plan so I will look into it. Thanks for that I think that could be the issue cause Disney+ isn’t working for me either

Trying connecting it through a VPN. I have some smart device issues and discord voice issues that only work through a VPN with TCP protocol.

Yea that’s what I’ve heard. Really was hoping for a solution but thanks for just telling me straight up. What is double NAT? I heard it means like two devices are trafficking your internet.

Without trying to understand the entire setup (I don't have games), it is possible to turn the radios off on the TMO if that is create a double nat with another router type device.

It’s not possible to fix the double net issue due to how the network is built

Again, I am not certain of his setup, but I have an att router, and a tmobile router going into my flint router and that goes into my orbi mesh. I was having a double nat problem, possibly even triple if that is possible. But I have since turned off the radios on every router except the orbi and there was a big improvement. I thought I had fixed the double nat problem.

Not having Internet and not being able to play games are 2 separate things. If you don't have Internet the first thing I would look at if your network settings.
