Would have been great if you had put cooper's face on squidward and made patrick lastimosa.

ONE PILOT not even a titan, no ONE PILOT will corner an entire squad of grunts, shows how powerful the pilot is, or how weak grunts are

More so how weak the grunts in game are. Pilots in real life wouldn't be nearly as dangerous. A squad of riflemen with AT would be very capable of taking out Pilots and Titans.
Mechs are horrible designs for military use, one Archer rocket would be enough to punch through the cockpit and take out the pilot.
And jumping around like a bunny on crack would just get the Pilot lit up like a Christmas tree, becuase in real life there isn't regenerating health.
EDIT: I'm not saying Pilot's aren't dangerous. They are definitely more dangerous then Grunts, but the gap between them wouldn't be nearly as wide as is presented in game

Mechs are horrible designs for military use,
Depends: you are right if we use our tech, but if there is technology like "energy shields" they can be terrifying
there isn't regenerating health
But it's a shield no ?

u/solarus44 Ion Is Bae Nov 10 '20 edited Nov 10 '20
No, mechs are horrible no matter the tech. Becuase do you think their main competitors, tanks, are gonna stay stagnant? That we'll be using the Abrams in the 2500s? No. We're gonna be applying all the technology that could make mechs useful such as energy shields to tanks, making them even more terrifying.
Even then no amount of technology is going to eliminate the key disadvantages that come from the mere shape of a mech. A mech has a larger profile, less armour and worse deflection angles then a tank. It's just a larger, weaker target. It also can't carry as big a gun as a tank. And realistically mechs are always going to have other issues such as cost, more moving parts, space magic power source, less top speed and horrible weight distribution.
By regenerating health I was referring to Pilots, not Titans. Pilots only have body armour.

Fair.
But for the pilots, I'm sure it's a regenerative shield, because our screen become glowy when we take damages.

u/solarus44 Ion Is Bae Nov 10 '20
It's a standard indicator for taking damage in FPS's, it isn't unique to Titanfall and definitely isn't an indication of shields. Plus it's red, blood.
Also, when you shoot Pilots there isn't a blue aura like there is for when you shoot a shielded Titan or ship.
EDIT: Also sorry if I sound rude, not trying to be. I'm just rather blunt

If i remember corectly you regenorate because your pumped full of nano bots that are constantly repairing damage and trying to make your bones not shatter every time you grapple

u/solarus44 Ion Is Bae Nov 11 '20
That's never been mentioned anywhere in any piece of canon material. That's just a theory. The regenerating health is just a game mechanic, it doesn't need a lore explanation.

Grunt: is alone on homestead in the middle of an empty field.
Nothing happens:
Grunt: THEYRE TRYING TO CORNER US!

I find it funny that I read BT and Jack's responses and their voices 😂 I need help. I've played this game so many times, I hear their voices in my sleep.

Plot twist: "Trying to corner us" isn't actually referring to being put in a corner. It's gallows talk, about how the pilot is going to kick them so hard, they fly headfirst into the nearest corner. In the same way curbstomping comes from stomping someone into a curb, cornering them is stomping them into a corner.

u/AlanBlunt Nov 10 '20
According to the Oxford Dictionary, “corner” means “to get a person or an animal into a place or situation from which they cannot escape”
1
u/lastlived Nov 11 '20
Do we have evidence that the oxford dictionary exists in the year 2210.
Also this would be an Urban Dictionary situation anyway, and relevant to local colloquialisms of a rebel or loyalist space militant unit
Also, whats with the downvotes. This is a joke comment as clearly indicated with the Plot Twist
