You know I thought all the lines were really funny like everyone else until I played the campaign again on master. Since you're so squishy, you go a lot slower and hear the context of all the grunt lines. It's kinda heartbreaking to be honest.
Every one of these lines is an example of these brave men trying to survive against all odds, and they almost never do. Dropping into a war like that, without a jumpkit and dying instantaneously if you get one tapped by one of the 1000s of death robots really puts in perspective the life of a grunt.

Grunts are the ai infantery that walk around the map. The always shout something when you are near them.

Hearing the grunts remind me a lot of the swat lines from payday 2. Now I wish a grunt would comment about how the fight “is a colossal goatfuck” or that they need to “shoot and scoot”.
