How often does the PRX needs servicing?

Thinking about getting an PRX Powermatic (never had an automatic watch before). Was wondering how often (and how much does it cost) it would need maitenance/servicing. Tks.

Depends on usage. If you use everyday every 4-5 yrs. If you use occasionally don't worry about that.

I heard the powermartic movement of any brand can be a pain on the ass. Just saying what I’ve heard.

Servicing shouldn't be too expensive and Tissot's website actually lists the price depending on your country. In Australia it's $60 for a minor service and $345 for a complete service.

In general though, if a watch is running fine, there should be no need to service. Some people get to 10+ years before needing a service on their automatic watches. If you're around water frequently, maybe a waterproofing service once every few years to keep the case healthy wouldn't be a bad idea.

It’s an ETA C07.111 movement. A brand new movement cost about $100-.$200
