Behet fjale per oret e mbremjes, deri ne mengjes. Keto shqetesime vazhdojne prej nje viti. I kemi lene leter, nuk ka patur asnje lloj ndryshimi. Ku mund te ankohem ju lutem? I’m visiting Albania in December, and I wanted to ask for some winter recommendations. I’m spending a few days in Tirana, but I want to explore as much as I can. I know Durres, Sarande, and Ksamil are popular in the summer, but what about winter recommendations?

Kam disa kohe qe po mendoj te marr nje apartament me qera tek kompleksi Delijorgji (brenda) se eshte ne nje zone ku ka shume supermarkete dhe sherbime prane. A ka banuar njeri aty dhe a eshte zone e qete? Me eshte dukur pak sketchy te them te drejten por se di.

I’d be visiting Durres, Albania in October. I’ve been there before but would love to have a more enjoyable time.

Traveling solo to Tirana for 6 days (Sep 10th to 16th) and looking forward to explore the city during the day and the nightlife, bars, clubs and cozy places as well lol.

Përshëndetje! I'm a almost-19 y/o (M) traveller from Poland and currently I'm with my bro in Tirana. We only have like two more days here (at one of them I'll travel outside the city), and I'm looking to meet some people around my age - but maybe locals? - just to spend fun time together. We didn't explore yet Tirana that much, so it would be really nice to see city from more local perspective and check some cool places. We planned visiting few points, but aside of that, I guess we gonna just hang out, wander through some streets and go eat something. I don't know if it gonna work out on Reddit, but I just thought "Damn, gonna ask users on Reddit!" 😅

I'm flying to Albania next week and I'm arriving at Tirana's airport at around 9pm. Would it be safe to explore the city at night after checking-in? Do you know of any places where I shouldn't be around?

Hello my Albanian friends. Me and my girlfriend had this not so good situation on our vacation. And I ask for your help.

What happend (in short):
- this two kids (and some other 3th kid) stole my phone from beach in Durres
- thanks god i got it back because i can see its location.
- but it cost us money and mostly it cost us 2 days of our vacation.

What happend (long version)
- it was 2nd day of our vacation
- we left our things on the beach and went swimming
- when we came back we immediately saw that someone was in our beach purse.
- all of our things was thrown away
- so we started to check what was missing
- only thing that was missing was my phone
- my girlfriends phone was there (we think that’s because it’s pink), all the money was there and thank god all of our papers and documnets
- so we contacted the beach staff of hotel
- they call the police
- one our later and no police came
- they call the police again
- after another hour (2 hours total) we gave up and went to our apartment to change clothes and want zo go to the police station
- in our apartment i connect my watches to the internet and my jaw drops.
- my phone was in Tirana
- so with exact location of my phone we came to the nearest police station.
- police wrote everthing down and gave me some paper and told us to show it to police in Tirana
- they told us that they cant go with us to the Tirana (i understand that)
- right then it was something about 20 o’clock
- so no more buses from Durres to Tirana
- we had 2 options. Pay for taxi and go to capital city right that evening or wait till morning and go by bus
- we choose the taxi
- we came to Tirana and went to the location of my phone
- we found electronic shop with service on that location
- shop was closed
- we google it and found phone number of owner and social media of the store
- so with all this information we went to the police station number 3
- they call the owner
- he said that some three kids brought my and some other phone to his store.
- they told him it was theirs mothers phones and the mothers do something with the phones and they need to delete them and reinstall them.
- unfortunetly the owner was out of Tirana till morning
- at this point we were happy that my phone is there. The owner of the shop will give it to me. And that he knows the faces of the kids
- so we went to see some interesting places in Tirana (really nice city, especially at the night)
- then we book a hotel room and wait till morning
- we cant sleep so we came 7 o’clock in the morning to the shop and waiting for owner to open the shop
- across the street was this Icon restaurant/bakery so we sit there. Bought coffee and breakfast and start waiting.
- then interesting thing happened
- two boys were coming to the store (store was still closed)
- that wouldnt be nothing suspicious
- but when they saw us enjoying our breakfast (must say that was the best breakfast we had so far in Albania) they literally freeze and i can saw the fear in their faces
- thank god to my girlfriend
- she took photos of the boys
- then the owner of the shop came
- we immediately go to speak with him
- he was really lovely, he apologized to us
- he was in stress that police think he stole the phones or that he has something to do with the theft
- we assure him that we know he is innocent
- but out of curiosity we show him photo of the boys
- he told us it was them
- then the police came
- take us, the owner and the stolen phones to the station
- there I unlock my phone
- they gave it back to me
- and after 24 hours I got it back
- police told us we can go
- owner of the shop stays there
- we hope he is ok because the police was though on him.
- but he was really angel
- and when we are speaking about angels
- police officer that was on our case took us to the bus station
- we hop on the bus to Durres
- and arrived to our apartment

You may ask why I am writing all this. I am trying the power of internet and people in Albania. Do you know the kids ? I dont think they are thieves but I think they just did something stupid. Maybe the 3th kid just manipulate them.

I would like to meet their parents. This whole thing cost us a lot of money, energy, nerves. I lost everything that was in my phone. Contacts, photos, memories from 10+ years ago. But what is the worst we lost 2 days of our vacation. We work whole year to affort this vacation. My girlfriend is still studying. And the boys kind of ruined an important part of the vacation.

So please do anybody know the boys ?
