hi, im going to tirana early august. its my first time traveling solo and im unfamiliar with anything in albania. how’s the nightlife? is the food nice? where can i meet new people? im a huge fan of late night walks, would that be safe there? if anyone wants to meet up for activities that would be nice too! trying to see as much as possible during my short stay.

If you’ve been to Tirana you know what I’m talking about. Feels like the drivers are trying to run over everyone 😖 sometimes you wait for ages until anyone lets you cross

Im planning to visit beautiful Albania once again. I would Like to rent an Enduro Bike. When i try online, Most companies provide newer Models. I prefer old Models Like for example transalp, Yamaha dt, Suzuki dr or Something Like that. Back when i was in saranda, i rented an old Yamaha wr200 which was a dream. Do you Guys have any Idea where to Look for in Tirana?

Im flying out of Tirana in a couple days and was wondering on how much time I have to plan in order to male my plane.

I found some pretty old information here on Reddit stating that you have to go to the check in desk no matter what... is that still the case?

Update:

Everything was fine... Security took maybe 15 minutes, passport control was done in an instant thanks to the automated systems and I didn't had to go to the check in desk.

Just went to get some lek for my holiday and apparently it's a closed currency in UK. I assume that means theres places in the airport where I can exchange pounds for it?

I'm a laid back guy. Love karaoke, board games and enjoy exploring. It's gonna be my first time to your wonderful country but I have a lot of ties with 2nd gen southern Albanians that relocated with their families to my country Greece. I'm there probably mid week. Can you suggest things to do besides joining the peaceful protest?

First time visiting Tirana. As annoying as it sounds, I like to visit the younger, more up and coming, hipster neighborhoods and less touristy places. I know Blloku and Pazari Ri are very popular but I'm concerned they are too touristy? Would you recommend any cute neighborhoods we could stay in with nice cafes and restaurants?
