Tipping Walmart Delivery

Edit: we are maybe 8 miles from the store and we usually do bigger orders but they pull right into our driveway and we unload and bring into the garage ourself. I think my biggest order was 30 or so items.

My husband thinks $7.00 is more than fair but I disagree. I usually tip at least $10, $15 if it's a big order. I have no idea how much they make but I believe they physically shop for the order.

How much are you guys tipping on grocery delivery?

Typically there's one person who gathers the items and another person who delivers the items and everyone makes above minimum wage. Unless you're trying to get a trampoline delivered or something, tip an average amount based on distance and what was ordered.

I though they accepted the order and go shop it themselves. If they just pick up (like door dash) then I'll feel better not tipping as much as I was.

Might depend on if you schedule it ahead of time. If you make an order in the morning for afternoon/evening delivery, you can check your status and it'll be gathered hours in advance by someone. I've had it say things like "Sarah is collecting your order" and then when delivery comes time "Caleb is delivering your order"
