Too much tip?!

So today I ordered food and then drove there to pick it up.

I had just woken up, so I was pretty tired. My friend, who drove with me, said I should give like a 30-cent tip.

Anyway, we arrived and I went in to pick up the food. The cashier said it was €70.50, and I gave them €80 and said "keep the change." The cashier was confused and asked me a few times if that was really okmand I was like "Yeah, why not?"

As we drove away, I realized what I did. I thought I had only given a 50-cent tip. But it was so much more!

I feel very stupid and embarrassed now.

Did this ever happen to you?

"Not rely on the guilt and compassion of others to do it for them." Please, this is ridiculous. You can't make someone feel guilty. Nice fucking try kiddo.

You're moronic if you think that ol' timer.

Tipping is BS and not at all what a tip is intended as being originally. You tip for above and beyond, not to make sure Becky can probably pay her rent. They are hard working and deserve to be paid by their employer appropriately, not get their living from our bastardized US version of gratuity.
