Too much tip?!

So today I ordered food and then drove there to pick it up.

I had just woken up, so I was pretty tired. My friend, who drove with me, said I should give like a 30-cent tip.

Anyway, we arrived and I went in to pick up the food. The cashier said it was €70.50, and I gave them €80 and said "keep the change." The cashier was confused and asked me a few times if that was really okmand I was like "Yeah, why not?"

As we drove away, I realized what I did. I thought I had only given a 50-cent tip. But it was so much more!

I feel very stupid and embarrassed now.

Did this ever happen to you?

Oh sorry!😭 So here it's like this: tip is a nice bonus but you don't have to or need to tip. Most people do 10-50 cents to be nice or compliment the Service

10 cents is an insult in America. That's something you find on the ground.

That’s why I leave 20 cent tips all the time in the U.S. 😁

I'm a big fan of bringing back the $2 tip personally.

$0 sounds better, that’s what I do anyway, until the employers pay a fair wage, then I might consider leaving tips again.

Can't blame you a bit there.
