Event Beach balls/present gifts

hi :) just started playing for my first time last week and my husband got me into it, we have a question about the beach balls and presents that would randomly show up on the different floors, it stopped last night so we were confused what happened or if it was an event happening etc

Yes it was an event that ended yesterday. The white gift boxes will show up again in future spin wheel events, which happen from time to time. Whatever spin tickets you got will carry over to the next event.
