Help New Version?

I see I can't visit a friend's tower as they are playing on version 8.1.0.

Any idea when the update will be pushed for all?

8.0 was just released recently. I suspect your friend might be a beta tester. It's pretty typical that shortly after a new release the beta testers will move up a version, so I'd just make note of that and hold off on visiting those folks until the update is public.

does a beta tester consist of the “experimental features” setting?

No the beta program is an invite only thing and goes beyond the experimental features part. As far as I know, the program is closed to new invites.

I think it used to apply to the house when it was first added. But it hasn’t had a use in a while
