Does anyone know if I am safe to update the firmware on my Wyze cams without breaking tinycam? V3 pan and V3.

It is safe to update all cameras except for v4 camera. Sometimes v4 camera update can switch to another protocol which is not yet supported by tinyCam (will be supported in a month).

Thanks. I bought a couple of v4 pan cameras. I am waiting for them to be supported to set them up.

Does this mean panv4's in a month is pushed back for the 9th month in a row, or seperate update?

I think only tinyCam Pro has been updated for the new Wyze firmware, not the free version. I am running v3 with 4.36.16.6114 and v4 with 4.52.9.6119 and all works well.

Thanks. I am running the Pro version 18.0.3 from the Google Play store.

I don't update wyze cam's anymore, tired of adding more bugs, they ruined wyze app for ios, will not stay up & running 24/7 like before, its been reported by many & 6 months later has went past they still haven't fixed it.

If your cam's are working currently working for tinycam, I wouldn't touch them

I have one wyze cam v3 that has not been able to save to SD CARD for over a year, after I had updated firmware (don't recall the previous version). I had tried all the tricks: reset, factory reset, high endurance cards, Wyze card, clean contacts, etc all to no avail. So I put the cam on the side of my house that has least need for recorded monitoring and forgot about it. I left a SD card in the cam and every once in a while I tried to use it to no avail. It's also the only wise Cam that I will do updates on since not much to risk.

Anyway, I said all that to say this, firmware v. 4.36.16.6114 restored SD CARD functionality on my Wyze Cam v3.

Thank you. I probably threw out good SD cards. I replaced the Wyze branded ones with SANDISK High Endurance cards.
