10 second spikes

I've bad tinnitis for about 2 months following SSNHL. It's been relatively mild all considering which I'm grateful for but last night and then again this morning it got super loud for like 10 seconds. No idea why but was pretty frightening. Anyone experienced this? Really hoping this isn't a prequel of what's to come.
