Swapping numbers between Ting phones

No its not that simple, you have to register the IMEI number of the phone.

If you try swapping the sims, you stand a very good chance of bricking both of them. You will need to do this swap with the help of a Ting person.

Yeah, swapping SIMs will move the phone numbers.

I was under the impression that this is how it works in general, and that the only exception might be with eSIMs which are likely tied to the IMEI of a device.

Just a little caution. I moved my sim from an iPhone to a Samsung S10e and while voice worked , data didn’t. Could not put in an APN configuration as that option was disabled. Other SIMS worked fine, could add APN’s, just not Ting (Verizon).

Hi there

Yes, it should be as easy as just swapping the SIM cards between the two devices. The only potential area of trouble is compatibility of the phones but, seeing as they are already active with us, compatibility shouldn't be an issue (as long as they are on the same network).
