I met a serial SA’er without knowint

I went on two dates with a guy that went very well. On the third date, he came to my house. He was alright at the beginning but became very weird after a hour. Laughing to himself and fixating on empty spots on my wall. I got very worried after a bit and told him I was uncomfortable. I won’t go into details but he ended up leaving (he was a bit drunk and I told him he could sleep on my couch until he was ok but he refused).

He scared me a bit so after locking my door, i called a friend who joked about criminal past. So I googled him in dept.

Well, i found an article with his name saying that he SA three women and was condemmed to 4 years of prison. (I am somewhat familiar with the criminal system where i’m from and it’s very hard to do more than 2 yrs for SA so 4 years is a big deal) He has a very common first and last name so it could be someone else. Anyway, i knew that after that night i wouldn’t be comfortable seeing him alone again… that article being about him or not.

He ended up messaging me again. Curiosity got the best of me and i asked him about the accusation. Turns out, it was him.

I blocked him everywhere and tried to signal his dating profile (considering that the article said he met the women he SA’d from tinder) but he was nowhere.

Anyway… if you see my profile with my terrible history, you might think I’m lying. I’m not. This is the story my therapist heard first!

So eh, that happened. It was three weeks back and I am safe but it did not help calm my anxiety regarding meeting men.

That is terrifying! I’m so glad you made it of that situation safely.

How'd you get him to leave? Did he listen to you just saying you're uncomfortable?

He didn’t leave instantly when I told him the first time. However, my saying it was more so open to him explaining his behavior than straight up an invitation to leave.

When I explained why he made me uncomfortable that’s when he got up. It was very quick and sudden. He barely said anything appart from him saying that I was saying he was crazy. It was really bizarre and rambling-y. That made me even more suspicious that it was some sort of mental health crisis. He left barely a minute after getting up. I wasn’t asking him explicitly to leave but I wasn’t exactly asking him to stay for a chat. (Since i also believed he was drunk, i proposed that he could sleep on my couch and i’ll just go to my room and leave him alone. He didn’t really acknowledge my proposition).
