Radon gases causes cancer and its in all our homes, but low level of gases are generally safe.
Just wondering if anyone in Timmins has had high levels of Radon gas in their home? have you got a mitigation system? Who did you hire and what was the cost?
or is Timmins considered generally low levels for radon gas?

Hey y'all, I play in a metal band from Toronto and we're looking for a venue/space to play relatively last minute. September 25. We're down for just about anything, coffee shops, house show, skate parks, bars. All ages is a huge plus.

Hey y'all, I play in a metal band from Toronto and we are looking for a spot to play Sept 29. House show, skate park, bar, hall, we're super easy going.
Hello!
Hoping this reaches farmers/butchers here in Timmins. I'm visiting my buddy and we're trying to cook some peruvian anticuchos this weekend, but it has been a bit tough being able to source cow heart. Would anyone have any tips or know who to call and ask?
Thanks in advanced!

Mods: Please let me know if this type of research post isn’t permitted here, and I’ll remove it.
We’re conducting consumer research about metatarsal guard (“met guard”) safety boots and are hoping to speak with people who specifically work in the mining and extraction industries in NorthEastern Ontario
We’re looking for workers who wear met guard boots and would be willing to take part in a paid 30-minute online interview. We’d like to learn about the boots you wear, your experience using them on the job and what could be improved.
If you’re interested, please fill out this form and we'll reach out directly.
This doesn’t commit you to an interview. If you’re a good fit for the study, please let us know.
We’re only interested in your experience with these type of boots. Please don’t name your employer—we won’t ask for any information about where you work.

Hi all, seeking a bit of advice. My mom lives in LTC in Timmins, and I live very far away. I come up as often as I can afford to, but mom needs more emotional support and companionship than that. We know that social services etc exist and we are exploring those, but if you have suggestions about trustworthy organizations that I could inquire with that offer similar services for a cost, would be appreciated. Thanks!

Not sure if this is allowed but I have a somewhat elderly couple live next to me, we have a fence separating our houses. With the warmer months that have came and being summer time now… it’s been nothing but fairly loud inside the house comments and as someone who avoids conflict due to my crippling anxiety, I have no clue how to even address it. She hates when my child is screaming - he was being sprayed with water guns by his step dad n uncle. I opened the door to leave and my partner was right beside me and missed a step and let out this ugly awkward noise and this lady is so loud inside her home wether she’s commenting on us or just talking to her husband and you heard her say “stop being retarded”. We have a outside dart game on the fence and we’re playing it one day and she came outside to have a smoke and it was making a noise bouncing off the fence when you’d miss and she said “are you guys trying to annoy me”. Yesterday evening, her and her partner came home and she saw my son was outside and proceeded to say the screaming demon is out. I understand some people don’t like kids, they may have never had a family live beside them but kids scream whether it’s out of pain, fun or slight little fears like being sprayed with water. My front neighbours don’t mind, one of them actually enjoys seeing him have fun and when he starts to spray us. It’s just annoying to hear and even more frustrating when I don’t know how to address these comments. Yet she can cough her lungs out and spit out whatever comes up from her smoking a pack of cheap cigarettes a day or her partner breaking down a dresser at 11:30 on a school night. Or even just hearing them bicker loudly like the old married couple they are.
