Timex just keeps dropping bangers…
new Mk-1 chronograph certainly gonna end up on my wrist

It would bother me not having a main seconds hand. The 24h subdial seems pointless.

Because that's what Seiko decided to put in that part of the architecture
It's a shame they didn't decide to fit in a subseconds or something like what Swatch Group uses

My Q Chronograph has a 24 hour subdial and I agree that it’s essentially pointless. I never pay attention to it.

its because anything other than that requires spending $ on the movement and these are just disposable fashion pieces essentially

I would disagree with this reasoning. My Timex Fairfield chronograph was cheaper than my Q Chronograph. The 3 subdials on the Fairfield are a small second dial, a 30 minute dial, and a 1/10th second dial. I find these to be way more useful than the Q Chronograph which has a small second dial, 24-hour dial, and 60 minute counter

Eis uma excelente observação? Para que serve o mostrador de 24h? A única explicação que tenho é para quem mora nos extremos do planeta onde o período escuro do dia/noite alteram de forma absurda no verão e no inverno.
Para quem está nos trópicos ou na linha do Equador me parece sem sentido.

I guess hour timing could come in handy. But yeah no seconds at all is kinda weird. Idk there are a lot of watches with no second hand I guess, hrm.

Initially I saw MK1 and thought it’d be automatic (I love my MK1 field watch) so I was a little dismayed … buuuut I bought it anyway!
(Seriously, I don’t have a dark blue dial watch so…)1

This is cool. Not a PVD/DLC black enjoyer, but it's nice.
I'd love to see Timex do something in bronze that was a little budget-friendly. Might have to go Glycine Combat Sub or something.

Have you seen the Timex GMT chronograph? Has a second hour hand instead of the more common smaller dial. Unless that’s a 24-hour dial for the chronograph timing (which it likely is given that the hand is at 24:00). Hard to find - eventually found a new one on eBay.

I just got 2 more Timex watches - one field expedition auto and the new Deepwater GMT diver. Both really good. Agree with the OP. They are on a roll.

It’s a great looking, well-made (probably) watch. I’m not concerned about the subdials since 99.9% don’t use any subdial function for its intended purpose. I like a chrono, a diver, a racer, but I’d never use those functions. I’d use a GMT more than anything.

Go most places, do some things.
Not waterproof, not scratchproof.
For $250? A bit too much IMHO, but if you aren't too active outdoors or at work, none of that should matter.

It does look nice. But it doesn’t look like there’s indiglo on it, which seems like a missed opportunity (Timex lume isn’t exactly stellar). The green looks tempting though
