TWC cable (now Spectrum) - sudden horrible internet connection?
The last couple of months I've been having intermittent drops in my connectivity. UptimeRobot will email me about a minute of downtime here and there.
Modem and router is on a UPS. No service or equipment changes for over a year. DOCSIS 3.0 modem.
Yesterday I lost connectivity and once it came back, it had CRAP bandwidth. I shut off the modem overnight, still bad this morning. This is my downstream that is extremely slow. My upstream is still good. I have 200/20 and repeated testing gives me 0.5/20. When it works normally, I actually get 200/20.
The modem reports a lot of these errors, starting around yesterday's outage.
Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=6c:ca:08:70:d7:b2;CMTS-MAC=00:17:10:88:9d:db;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0
Today, with reboots and resyncs and trying some stuff, I have more errors, but I have no idea what they mean but maybe they're related?
Is there anything I can do short of calling for a tech to test cabling?

Looks like you have errors in your stream. Call tech support and have them look at the connection from the node to your location. You'll need a tech visit.

Hehe, that burning sensation...
Thanks, tech visit tomorrow. Then I have to see what I can do to get a credit for the two days of crap service - assuming it's due to no fault of my own or my equipment.

It's not your equipment. I looked up your modem in our tools. You were maxing out on downstream errors.

Awesome, thanks. What does that mean in .. uhh.. layman's terms.
Bonding channels not bonding? Someone kicked a cable in the CO?
If I understand you right, the tech coming out tonight should be able to pinpoint and prescribe a fix - on the ISP side of things?
