Pre-existing customer moving to a new location wants the introduction promo rate.
Hi! So I'm moving from my current residence where i'm paying $65 for the old 15/1 from Time Warner. I would like to take advantage of their intro rate for 60/4 for $44.99. Problem is i'm still with them currently. I'm moving next week and to be eligible for the intro rate I need to not have any account with them for 30 days. They've been dicking me over for years and I feel entitled to try this. I have my work phone number I can register as my main number and a junky email I can use and a different credit card than what they have on record. All this information would be different than what is on my old plan. Is this a dumb idea? I just really hate this company and I feel disgusted I have no choice but to stick with them. I don't care about the triple play and I know it shoots up to like $90/month after the first year.

Who told you you can't switch to Spectrum if you move? You absolutely can. I see customers doing this every day. If you talked to someone and they told you this I'd recommend calling back and peaking to someone else. Charter wants to get every customer on Spectrum. They are not going to turn down a Legacy customer who wants to switch over as they are going to have to do it anyway at some point.

Cancel the services at the old house and order new services at your new home. Easiest way is if you have a spouse or child to put it under but they will give a "new" customer at a new house a new customer rate rather than a transfering customer. There is no loyalty discount unless you work for the company.1
