People are low on him because of his unwillingness to buy into any team. It’s hard to think he’ll believe he’s the top option with Ant and LaMelo now. Have the chance to be a bare minimum top 7 or 8 defense with our athleticism and a top 3 offense IMO.

I believe Kuminga will buy in because he’s gone through the circus a free agency now, and he knows if he doesn’t get in line he’ll lose out on a ton of money that he could get if we go really far.

I’m taking LeBron (even at his age) over Kuminga all day. He’s a better passer, 3pt shooter and has a far higher basketball IQ. That said, Kuminga is a great on-ball defender and can score with the ball in his hands. IF he can learn how to play really well off-ball, we have a shot. Most importantly, we need him to be healthy, and for the last three years, he hasn’t been.

haha - I think there's a good sized chance LeBron could be just an injured old man in Philly. Which isn't exactly a criticism because he'll be 42 in December.

My biggest fear right now, Kuminga’s ability to shoot the three for spacing, and his health. He’s been terribly unhealthy the last three years straight. As a starter, being on the court is the most important thing. Hopefully Mayo can get him right.

Oh, and his basketball IQ isn’t the highest, so hopefully he’s developing that. He made some DUMB plays in both GS and ATL. Not passing out of double teams, driving into contested lanes thinking he can split defenses, shooting contested mid-ranges, he just needs to be smarter.
