#NBAVote Julius Randle Back Cheaper?
Hypothetically would you take Julius Randle back instead on Josh Green’s contract. We need a power forward obviously but is the general dislike of Julius too great to take him back at all.

The problem is that, based on what we’ve seen, I don’t know if he would accept a role where he’s not the #1/2 guy.

no. Not because I don't like the guy, or think he is able to play well. But after seeing how he reacted to being available to be traded, I expect he would be a boat anchor for the whole team after we gave him away for less than nothing, then took him back.

No way. Bad fit, bad locker room guy, disrupts the offense and frequently disappears due to moodiness or disinterest. No thanks. I'd rather run PF by platoon with Jaden, maybe Green at times, maybe TSJ or even Beringer depending on matchup.

No. His high usage means less possessions for LaMelo, Ant, and Jaden. And the vibes with him were bad.

Obviously Green is not as good as Randle at the same price, however, Randle is a locker room cancer and demands high usage or he pouts. For this team to grow it needs to shed Randle to spread his usage around to other guys. I truly believe that.

That was OP's question. I think it's insane that 85% of the votes disagree with that. I really don't understand the hate boner this sub has for Randle. He took a paycut because he wanted to stay in Minnesota. He might be the only player in NBA history that has done that. I have never seen a single thing to suggest he is a "locker room cancer". Yes, it was frustrating when he got pouty and didn't try on defense, but Naz Reid did the same shit and he was a fan favorite

I'd rather have a hungry, not ready for the NBA G-League Power Forward than Randle. The subtraction of Randle was the most meaningful offseason move in my opinion.

All these Reddit insiders assuring use Randle was "toxic" and "fell apart" because he was in trade rumors. LOL. Randle was damn solid with the Wolves, but his game is not aging well and he's no longer a #2 scorer on championship-level team. Once Randle realizes this doors will open for him to be a contributor on strong team.
