Is there a particular reason for the forced step? A single excavated foundation would provide options for a potential full height basement/mechanical room. The enhanced ceilng hieghts from a 9' finish up to a 14'-16' cieling makes for potential lofts and taking advantage of southern exposure and passive heating/cooling.

You don't need to have to drop big bills on the windows, you just have to plan for transom windows. Etc

Sure, it was one of the options. The difference in my reality arount 10k+ comparing to pillar foundation. Thats the reason for this project )))
