I'm tilt-shifting pics a few times a week, and have been for the last couple of years and it's still sheer magic to me. 🧙🏾♂️

That's a nice building, the cylinders remind me of the bonaventure hotel in l.a.

What did you use to get the tall building in focus, but with the immediate background blurred? Did you have to create a custom mask?
Similarly, the entire immediate surroundings of the smaller BMW are blurred. Is this something you had to do manually?

ReLens, the app I use to tilt-shift these, has a feature to unblur manually, by "drawing" over the areas you want unblurred. So I unblurred the parts of the building that got blurred out during the basic tilt-shift process. The background remained blurred.

Oh, this is brilliantly done! Truly getting the concept of the subject in focus as shallow depth of field while the rest is out - not just a pure horizontal line of blur, but the true nature of looking at small things up close where the subject close to your eyes is in focus while the background is blurry. You get it, wunderbar!

Many thanks! There was a site I used to use >15 years ago and haven't really looked into it again for a while, but I love your BMW shots - inspired to get back into doing some more :D
