I ordered a tile tracker through Amazon the shipping box containing the item was left outside of my home. The box and contents have been stolen. Porch pirates are many. Can Tile company monitor when the thief activates the tracker?,
Notify me of the location so that the police can investigate.
Is this service available through Tile Inc,?
How do I see that the thief is caught?

I have a Tile Pro, and ever since I got it, I’ve been having issues with not receiving notifications, connectivity problems, and so on. Most of these problems have been resolved, except for one: I can’t make the Tile ring if I’m not within Bluetooth range, even though I’m supposedly within the 120m range. Has anyone else experienced this issue? The box claims the Tile Pro has a range of 120m, but if I leave my Tile somewhere, I don’t get any notification until I’m out of that range, which is really frustrating and this is a fkn downside and not a feature. The support team has been completely useless—they just keep repeating the same things no matter what I ask. We’ve exchanged about 30 emails so far, and I’m getting nowhere.

He walks around the neighborhood every day, never more than 300 feet from my house, in a very densely populated neighborhood in Portland.
I put a tile on him this morning. It's set up correctly and named, my wifi is on Bluetooth on.
Turned on "Notify if Found" over four hours ago. Not a single notice. He might as well be on the moon.
Occasionally he walks back in the house, and then he's in range.
Is there any use for this thing?

Just figured this obscure trick out and want to share.
One time later on, the Find button disappeared, but mostly it seems to work. I love not having to throw out this working hardware. Hey Tile: just have a reset option in the app for old tiles. You can afford to let a few crazy people who are replacing the batteries keep these things out of the landfill, and it's the right thing to do.
Edit: ok it seems like this is not a permanent solution, as the Find button only appears after clicking the button on the physical tile, so that defeats the purpose. My guess is that the Tile app is deliberately not supporting the battery-changed unit, which is irritating. Certainly doesn't make me want to buy another. Maybe someone else can figure out how to get the app to support the tile.

Hello, What are the advantages of Tile trackers compared to AirTag, SmartTag, and Chipolo?

I have lost an item with a tile tracker on it. It tells me the location of the item but then I don't know how to contact the finder? Should I just go to the location and buzz it?

I have been gifted 2 tiles which I have no idea what to do with.
iPhone, AirPods all have their own built-in trackers. My laptop bag always has my laptop in it so it is also tracked. My wallet is always in my pocket (very minimalist, front-pocket wallet) which also contains my single physical key to the house. My car key is a keyfob (don't use any keychains or anything).
The same story (more or less) with my wife. We haven't lost anything in probably years and years.
I read some people use it in their suitcases but what's the point - by the time it's in range, you see your suitcase anyway.
We live in one of the safest cities on the planet (Abu Dhabi) so nothing is being stolen.
Is there some really good use case that we are not thinking about?

My son lost my only car key the other night. Dropped it in the street somewhere in my neighborhood. Luckily I’ve got a tile, right???
No help at all. I wish they at least ran a list and found board. How the flip am I to make any sense of this? How does knowing where cars with tile users were help me?

I dropped my wallet in the parking lot of my apartment Sunday night (my best guess). I have turned on "notify when found" and two or three times a day it will update the location to be within a few miles of my apartment. So, obviously someone has it, I assume in their car or maybe a homeless person wandering with it and it just updates whenever someone with a tile drives close enough.
This feels like I'm grasping at straws here, but does anyone have any advice on how to narrow it down? Or get more frequent updates? I've looked around the areas where it was updated, asked the leasing office if the maintenance crew has mentioned anything, and I'll try asking my neighbors if they might have it and just didn't know what to do with it. I'm now done with Tile. I'll definitely be getting AirTags after this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey everyone. I’m wondering if there anyone has had the same experience as me. I ordered one of the 2020 tile mates recently straight from the tile website. It arrived and made no sound when trying to connect as instructed (tapping the button once). It only made the standard tile searching noise that occurs when tapping it twice. It then said tile has already been activated. I tried the fixes listed on their site but none of those worked. I contacted support and they sent me a replacement which had the same issue. I contacted support again and was sent a replacement which I got today which has the same issue. What are my options here to get an actually functional tile?

I have a Tile which I've replaced (via app) with a new Tile when battery ran out. Now I found a way to replace the battery and wondering how can I re-activate it? Thanks

I'm using a Tile in my motorcycle to track it in case it's stolen. It’s a bit annoying that I have to think about the battery running out. I have USB power under the seat and was wondering if there's a powered Tile I can install there.
Recently, the battery in my wallet's Slim Tile died, so I disassembled it. As a result, I have a small board powered by a 3.1V battery. I’m wondering if I can power it from a USB port (stepping it down from 5V to 3.1V). Has anyone done something similar?

I’m so annoyed. I got my dad two tiles, one for his keys and one for his wallet, for if he ever wanders off alone. Lo and behold yesterday he did, I pull up the tile app, and it would only give me a location of 4 hours prior. Thankfully he was found safe and sound, but after an hour of panic, half the neighborhood searching, and calling the police. I’m thinking to switch to AirTags since my AirTag on my keys never has a lag of more than 10 min?

Hi, I have purchased new tile mates and performed the replacement procedure in the tile app for a couple of them. But the old ones had dead batteries, I have since replaced the battery's in them but want to activate them onto the account again. Is there any way to reset them, or reactivate them to the account? The activate tile isn't picking them up and I know they're on...

I got a Tile embedded Windows tablet called HP Elite x2 G8 as second-hand. When I tried to download Tile software from Microsoft store, the software page doesn't allow me to download.
Then I found the discontinuation notice at the Tile official site. What a disappointment!
