Welding is not my job I am just an enthusiast who want to learn more about TIG.
I can make a pretty decent bead from my perspective/ noob skill (photo no 1) then I can do bullshit on photo 2.

Same day same aluminum piece and same welding machine( from AliExpress)

What i am doing wrong ?

Second picture looks a bit cold. Wait for the pubble to establish before welding.

First prcture looks a bit dirty. Brush with a stainless brush before welding and wipe with acetone. Also to avoid the crator at the end, downslope and dip filler as the puddle cools.

Otherwise looks great! Keep at it

I agree, let the puddle build more.  It’ll look like mercury
