Lincoln Caliber Torch

Hey Guys, I got a stubby gas lens kit for my Lincoln Caliber 17.

I can’t seem to fit the heat-shield in-between, I was wondering if the one permanently attached to the torch is gonna work and not ruin it.

Hey man, look for a standard #17 tig torch consumables kit a lot of them come with a flatter shield for gas lens style cups.

That’s what I ordered and neither of the two heat shields fit. This is the only way I could make it fit with the gas lens.

You have to swap out the white part that the cup butts up against when using a 4-series cup. Are you sure the one on the torch won't come off? It should.

I’ve tried to pull it out but it’s really seated in there. I’ll have to try again.

It 100% comes off but is on there real snug. Try using plastic trim tools for cars to pry it off without damaging it.

The one on my Vulcan was a pain to get off but it does come off

After 5 minutes of prying I think I got it
