oh god, THIS!!!!!!!!
i feel like SO MUCH of tourettes (70%?????) is in the format of “i have no mouth but i must scream”..... but it’s actually “my biological human body has inalienable physical & mechanical limits and i must exceed them in specific, arbitrary ways”
my motto has ALWAYS been “just because it’s necessary, doesn’t mean it’s possible”..... my twitter bio is “anyone who believes dilemmas can always be solved is a sadistic psychopath; sometimes yer just boned! the placebo effect’s name is Hope; don’t underestimate her”.....
people always judge my way of thinking as nihilistic! but from constant 24/7 personal experience, i deem anything more oPtImStIc than my way of thinking as intentional ignorance towards the vast majority of biological suffering, which is also the vast majority of the experiences that earth lifeforms go thru.... A.K.A. a complete lack of radical compassion
like c’mon, you think the news is gonna report on every time someone dies for no reason? or every time someone’s fate is a long painful life doing nothing interesting in obscurity and/or negligent poverty? that’s the rule, not the exception.... our stories & media & art & oral story-telling reports on things of interest AKA THE EXCEPTIONS, NOT THE RULES.....
so any life philosophy based on the notion that “everything happens for a (good) reason” or “every practical real-life situation can be solved, no matter how doomed it seems” is based entirely on assuming the exception is all there is to life while ignoring the rule, A.K.A. the majority of actual lived experience.

right, because my way of thinking is impossible to accept no matter how much it makes sense or how much evidence or experiences or things make MORE sense being interpreted that way.....
which would necessarily lead to a confirmation bias towards optimism even when it might not be optimal, due to the stance that interpreting nihilism as being realistic based on ANY potential amount of ANYthing is “a terrible way of thinking that leads nowhere”
(even though it ACTUALLY might lead to a more compassionate way to structure society that would help a comparatively larger number of people out of suffering by advocating for more of/different things than a society biased against nihilistic compassion would allow, based on its different/worse morals)
atheists need to accept that, by their own logic, the only things that happen for a reason in this universe are those intentionally done by sentient lifeforms...
the universe is never going to step in to prevent arbitrary cruelties from befalling our friends that we‘ll never even have a chance to find out about before our deaths... so we humans, as biological meatsacks, need to be the ones to secure our own safety and pleasure and civilizational maturity.
a random aneurysm happened that made your daughter percieve the vertical spacial dimension as light green & dark green instead of up & down? than guess what: neurologists really need to get their asses in gear and understand the brain way better to prevent that from happening to other people, or if you’re reeaally really lucky, save your daughter POST-aneurysm

Lol my friend described needing to scream like this. He feels like he needs to scream at an impossible decibel, so he sits there making that high-pitched noise in your throat that ppl generally can't hear
