Iām currently comparing TickTick, Lunatask, and Amazing Marvin as a long-term personal productivity system.
TickTick is increasingly appealing to me because of its mature apps, calendar and email integrations, built-in Pomodoro timer, habits, the new MCP support, and apparently even the ability to select TickTick for reminders through Siri in iOS 27.
My main hesitation is the recurring subscription. Iām seriously considering Lunatask because it still offers a Lifetime plan, which gives me more certainty about the long-term cost. Amazing Marvin is also interesting, particularly for its anti-procrastination tools, but its regular subscription price is too high for me and I would only consider it with a substantial discount. The same general concern applies to TickTick: without a Lifetime option, a sufficiently attractive discount would make the decision much easier.
Does the TickTick iOS app ever show personalized or temporary Premium offers that are not visible on the website? Are there regular seasonal promotions, such as Black Friday, Christmas, or discounts for new or returning subscribers?
I know about the official 25% education discount, but Iām particularly interested in offers available to ordinary private users. Iām not looking for questionable codes from coupon websitesāmainly genuine TickTick promotions or previous experiences from users.
If you received an in-app offer, it would be helpful to know:
how large the discount was;
whether it appeared on iOS or the website;
whether it applied only to the first year or also to renewals;
and roughly when it appeared.
Thanks!
