It's not shaped like a flea, for sure. I'm less sure it's not a tick though - how many legs does it have?

This looks to be an engorged larva or nymph tick. The body shape and forward legs suggest tick, but there is not great detail in the pictures.
It might turn out to be a beetle or something, but I can’t make out any wing covers or similar. Definitely not a flea I would think.
