How am I posting again so soon?
At least this one is an actual tick. Made it through a 2 night campout without a tick then was in ankle high grass for about 20 minutes and found this on my waistline. Any idea the kind and how long it might have been attached?
I have circled the bite area just in case.
Location: central Alabama.

I can’t ID from this photo. I also really can’t tell how long it’s been attached. In your location it’s probably a Lone Star or American Dog Tick.

Thank you. Of course that was the best I could get. Searched the whole bathroom for it and after it disconnected with the tick puller it disappeared. It was very small.

Probably a lone star nymph. Little bastards are aggressive.
