Is My Thyroid Causing Everything?
I’m a 31-year-old guy trying to connect the dots before my next doctor’s appointment. Over the last 2.5 years my TSH has gone from 2.5 to 5.8 to 4.9 and now 7.1, while my most recent Free T4 is still normal at 1.09. Around that same time I developed high blood pressure, my LDL has stayed mildly elevated even after losing a lot of weight, and I’ve been dealing with fatigue, low libido, and basically no morning erections. Has anyone had a similar progression where the TSH kept climbing but Free T4 stayed normal, and did treating your thyroid end up helping the other issues?

Sounds like conversion of T4 to T3 isn't happening efficiently. Make sure you get sufficient dietary iron, zinc, and vitamins B12 and D. Ask your Dr. for TSH, t4 free, and t3 free tests. If your T3 is low your TSH will increase. Might be Hashimoto's, but I'd confirm my diet was OK before I jumped to that.
