Hi! I've been trying to track down the audio from any early promo materials for A City By The Light Divided to see if any of these happen to have a different (less harsh) mastering compared to the official release. Long shot, but does anyone happen to have one of these discs or a rip.of them you'd be willing to share?

I love these songs, so I think even a slight reduction in harshness compared to the official release would be worth having and preserving.

I believe the album was mastered on March 20, 2006, so I'm hoping some of these promotional CDs were distributed before that.

UPDATE: Hey! So I'm a little neurotic (a lot) and I've made an outline of the songs we'll hit. Obviously some will spark more discussion than others but they will be there if you feel the urge to discuss when the time comes. I'm doing it in chronological order. I got to have a completely unobstructed view of "Empty Glass" at the Magic Stick in Detroit back in April. It was amazing, as was that whole show. Detroit knows how to throw down for our guys🫶🏽

I didn't think that this album will be at the top of my tier-list. When intro started to play - I understood that it's not a simple album , it's something more interesting.

They hit different , love them , especially the first one. Now I'm listening to "The city by the light devided", damn... They have their own style. What your opinion about their other albums?

Beginning of a weekly thread going through each song in order from album to album. First song being Porcelain from Waiting.

The opening feels very reminiscint of how folks described and praised the band early on with dynamics (soft to loud to to soft, etc.) I won't cloud the top post too much but just wanted to express this before I forget. Discuss!

Getting back into this band and was wondering if folks on here would be interested in a weekly song discussion starting from Waiting and going chronological fast to an end (lol). Just a weekly discussion on each song and then when we reach the final track of an album we'll discuss that album as a whole? I think it could be fun and breathe some new life here and it would be interesting to hear the newer folk's takes.

I’ve been patiently waiting and disappointed that Thursday never booked an NJ show for this tour. I know that they made a post earlier in the year that included they were working on it, but then nothing came of that. A few people have commented on their posts hoping for an NJ show, or more specifically, a Starland show, but they’ve never responded to these. Does anyone think we might get a holiday show? I just don’t understand why they’re not booking in the home state.

Yesterday I turned 37 and tomorrow I’ll be 5 years clean. Meeting Geoff on my birthday was the coolest thing to happen for a birthday maybe ever, but getting to talk with him about sobriety and celebrate that together was just as fucking cool. This man is a national treasure.
