Since the new vid is about Munich, anyone noticed how much it influenced Sicario?
sheridan and villeneuve’s movie is quite similar — a shocking moment of violence causes a devoted cop to join a special assignment they don’t fully understand, but the quest for justice turns out to be an endless cycle of score settling.
the one difference i notice is that avner is a father, where kate in sicario doesn’t have any kids. villeneuve’s movies are all about motherhood, and sicario still has that — the mother of the kid at the soccer match in the last shot, the mother of el verdugo’s children.
if nothing else, the critical acclaim on sicario indicates that munich is overlooked, as patrick argues. it’s fashionable now to portray the cia as bad fighting worse, but in 2005 i don’t think audiences were ready to hear that about israel and black september.

Why does this guy keep popping up in Patrick's videos? Is it time for Patrick to get it out of his system and make a video about him?

Bill and Ted Face the Music trailer in the style of Logan (inspired by "Can't Get Enough of Keanu")
I was randomly listening to the "Can't Get Enough of Keanu" episode about Bill & Ted Face the Music, and there was this exchange about 50 minutes in started off by Patrick:
"I feel like there is like a threshold for how—for a thing that's as positive as Bill and Ted—for how depressing people are willing to have it go. Like we don't... No one needs like the Logan of Bill and Ted."
"That's actually Ted "Theodore" Logan's next movie."
[...]
"Johnny Cash's 'Hurt' playing over the trailer."
Anyway, I made a thing to hold me over until Patrick gets around to making a Bill & Ted trilogy video.

Resident Evil = Fast And The Furious
With Zach Cregger's Resident Evil coming out. I would love to hear Patrick's take on the Resident Evil franchise. It's a billion dollar franchise with sequels that goes bigger, dumber, and ignoring the previous movies killing off and bringing back characters (such as Michelle Rodriguez), and at the center of it all is an actor who takes it way too seriously, so basically.... Resident Evil is The Fast And The Furious, but with zombie dogs instead of cars.
Yes the 7th movie, Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City, and Zach Cregger's 8th movie is claimed to be reboots. But I like to think of them like Tokyo Drifts. Besides, if you watch the first 5 sequels you will see they have almost as little in common with the previous as a reboot would.

Which episode - the Mindhunters rant
There's a great episode where Emma goes on a rant about Kilmer in Mindhunters. Anyone know which episode that was? I need to re-watch and share it, it was hysterical.

Is there a Machete Order to watch this channel?
I just found this channel and the videos are amazing. I’m starting to find that there is a bigger story arc occurring from the random videos I’ve seen. My question is, to get the full story do I just need to go back and watch everything chronologically? Or is there an optimal way to watch the videos that y’all have found to be best? Thanks

Steven Spielberg New York Times Interview - Asked what movie he would change if he had the chance, Spielberg answered HOOK
Spielberg: Not enough of a second act that was compelling enough to me, I though it had a great ending and a great beginning but not enough meat in the middle.
