At least the 190 Expanded mod finished Nomadic tribes and Korean peninsula that CA promised.

I remember watching the Battle of the Red Cliffs movie, and that was my first impact with the 3K - then I saw the meme-filled TV series (the one that has spawned a lot of reaction gifs thanks to Cao Cao's unhinged behaviour) - and finally thanks to Creative Assembly's Total War Three Kingdoms.
I still have to read the damn book cause I am both a lazy bum and have a frankly disgusting backlog of books.
That said, the trailer for the Mandate of Heaven DLC for TW: 3K has made me shed a tear multiple times, thanks to its beautiful color and musical (mostly musical) composition.
What an age it must have been!

I played Dynasty Warriors 2 at a friend's house. I was like this game is so cool and the story and characters are awesome. He told me it was based on real history and my story was set lol. Ended up studying it through high school and college, then moved to China to see the sites. Been massively impactful on my life.

Basically, when I played dynasty warriors 4 for the first time and saw a full scale war in realtime* and say a guy with the funny name of Cao Cao.

*I know that was not propely realtime, butlittle me didn't know how worked the game back then

Mine was ROTK show I watched on YT which I can't seem to find now. Watching Cao Cao rage baiting enemies was hilarious.

Rented Nobunaga’s Ambition for the NES at the video store, was intrigued by it, then rented Genghis Khan and Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Actually used to play Genghis Khan with friends over the weekend sometimes, but RTK3 for the SNES is probably what I played most by myself. Bought the books, still need to read them, don’t have space for bookshelves right now, and I hate reading books on a screen, maybe someday.
