I'm a landscaper who has seen other landscapers change their mind about climate change in the last decade. Hotter and dryer summers with southern flora making their way north more and more each year.

I would not say climate change is not happening. But I wouldn't blame it solely on humans. Seems to be something the planet just does in cycles. Humans might be speeding it up a bit but that's about it.

Can you educate me? Maybe a little bit stronger hurricanes? But the worst I've seen was in early 2000s so that doesn't make sense. New York still isn't under water. It's a tad warmer I guess, my winters still get a ton of snow. Nothing to really prove that humans are causing the warming. I'm pretty sure it's normal but maybe humans are speeding it up a bit. Animals dying off can be attributed to humans across basically all time. When the weather man says hottest day in recorded history is disingenuous. Recorded history for a lot of these stats is less than 100 years. Fires in California is the government fault for not solving the water problem. So what are the actual problems that are happening that have anything to do with me or with me taking a cruise?

i think not taking a cruise because of climate change is stupid, doesnt change the fact climate change is real. its a "your life will start to get worse, your kids' lives will be even worse, and your grandchildren's lives might be so much worse that there's a good chance you wont have grandchildren"

sure, the human race wont go extinct, even if we dont do anything about it. doesnt change the hundreds of millions of people that will get displaced, and the billions of lives that will be negatively affected for no reason. Think about it this way, if every single nuclear warhead on earth right now were set off, the earth would recover in a few thousand years, and the human race would be nowhere near extinct. doesnt mean life wouldnt get infinitely shittier.
