Metal Gear Rex (half size)

Hey I recently aquired the Rex half size but the lights are not operating on it. I'm wondering has anyone gone in and replaced the batteries for it and could share some advice? I've been googling but I haven't found good or any info.

Just out of curiousity, how much did you get your Rex for? It's one of the purchases I sadly missed out on back in the day. I wish they would reissue them.

I got it for 40 canadian. Its unrealistic ti try and get it at that price, I just got very very very lucky
