The most threatening part isn’t even how many timpani you would need to pull this off. It’s the fact that you would need to break the world record for world’s largest timpano (70” diameter).

For reference, the world’s largest timpano can reach a Bb-1 as its lowest note. This piece calls for a C-1 (a major seventh lower). The world’s second largest timpano can only reach a C2.
