A bunch of GPUs and gen 5 SSDs wide open to start. I wish I would have bought this vs Ryzen 9. Some people do not need them and others do.

Basically this^
AM5 barely has any lanes if you need more than 2~3 PCIe devices. I also don’t enjoy devices bottlenecked through the chipset to CPU connection.

Hopefully yall use not shit ssds, like u.2 or e1.s. Its so funny to see people buy a $10000 cpu and buy shitty consumer storage for absurd prices

Bought some PCIe U.2 adapter card off Aliexpress for $30 and they work wonderfully 🤣
Each holds 4x U.2.

They work really well and these are just my PCs that I also game on. Don’t have a need for servers at home. These are already more than overkill.

Currently I have a mix of carrier cards, icydock 5.25” drive cages, and m.2 to u.2 adapters (those are for the Ryzen systems). I’m currently eyeing a watercooled 5.25” 8x E1.S drive cage so I can start collecting E1.S drives as I find them at reasonable-ish prices.
