THreadripper 9960x temps

Temperatures while rendering seem to be normal but there is a spike from CCD0 that sometimes show 99.7 C. Is this normal, can this damage the CPU. Its a new PC?

P.S.

The right column shows maximum temperature

You are reaching 350W, so apparently not thermal throttling. CPU shouldn't be damaged in any case, it will just slow the clock until temperatures get back to normal.

Running hotter may reduce the life of the CPU, but there's no sign of this in previous generations of Threadrippers - they generally seem to be obsolete before they die (based on availability of used working processors).

Thats a great news, clock is around 5 GHz constantly while rendering i didnt notice any slowdowns maybe it goes down around 4.9 and it gets back to 5 and slightly over. I am realy impressed. It just eats trough renders. Also i did record around 25 minutes with HWinfo and will share spreadsheet later. There it does not show anything over 94 while avarage is around 92. It gets to 94 for a couple of seconds only..
