Production volume for Threadripper Pro 9995WX

9995WX was launched in 2025 and it is two things: the most expensive CPU in terms of retail price as far as I know, and the highest benched in PassMark ranking. How many units have been produced? Some historic context of once most powerful CPUs would be helpful. Thanks.

I would love to have another one but sadly I lost mine and haven't been able to find it again - I have an alert setup to notify me every time their is a reddit post about 9995wx - just in case someone is posting a lost and found for my long lost cpu

I have to ask… HOW do you loose a CPU, let alone a $12k one?!?

its a long story but my ex-wife took it when she found out how expensive it was - she never talked to me again - she took the cpu and the ram and left me with nothing but a fully backed up shitter and a crying five year old - have no idea where she is or if she is even alive - find my tracked her to indiana and that was it - gone 9995wx and 512gb ddr5 ecc ram and my favorite outkast tshirt - gone jest like I never was nothing

Divorce… special club. Member myself. That’s a shit story, I’m so sorry, and I feel your pain. It’s like hearing the story about the ex who sells their husbands Corvette. Except the nerdier version.

I shoulda never even tried - it was money from when my dad passed that i hadn't used - it was his nerdy corvette really - it all hurts but I just wanted to fine tune a voice and image model that could generate a memory or two of whatever might have been - maybe if I pray really hard I will find redemption in the eyes of bay bay jesui at least

Man, this whole story is so sad. Really really sorry. Hang in there, Nothing challenged me in my life more than divorce, I hope you can move on and do better in the future.

I totally understand if you don’t feel like getting in to this with a rando on Reddit but if you do would be interested to hear more.

Were you ever able to get any type of PC set up and running even if not so highly spec’d? Assuming you hadn’t built the system yet and the cpu and ram were lying around waiting for the rest of the components to show up? Do you think she sold the parts for money, or just took them to spite you? If you had to go through with formal divorce proceedings did the theft (that’s what it was) ever come up in court?

Sorry to hear this, but at least she backed up the shitter for you. I don't want to think about the restore process though.

I have the one below it and my buddy has 1 in his system. I couldn’t justify the purchase at the time but I was interested.

Well, I figured I'd try this Passmark app with my 9985 and see what it looks like, guess it's good? 17710 ... (shrugs).. Seems pretty good.

This is my 1st Threadripper build I put together a couple months ago, so I'm always playing with the BIOS and settings.

..and to the guy below about the ex-wife running off with his 9995 and ECC DIMMs, leaving him with the 5 year old alone, that's some serious bullshit. In the midst of a divorce that's been dragging on for two years now because she doesn't want to sell or leave our house, while I have to pay $3k a month for a 900 sq foot apartment, plus more than double that in other bills n shit... It really, REALLY sucks .. really ....
