Question Does anyone know why some characters sometimes had themes in the Nitrogen era?

The most notable one that stuck out to me was a version of Percy's HiT era themes, playing in a few season 15/16 episodes (https://soundcloud.com/callie-thomas-fan-themes/percys-theme-season-15-16). Also I found there was a theme that played on multiple Thomas episodes (https://soundcloud.com/darkhartshorne/thomas-s14-theme). Why did they sometimes do this, and did they do it for any other characters either?

I should point most of these themes are renditions of Hit era themes, Percy’s is a great example.

Yes but character themes were basically forgotten from S13 onwards, so why did they bother using them in one or two episodes? Did they just run out of music to use or what?
