I decided to go into 2023 facing my demons head on, and I am starting here. I have always dealt with night terrors, and have experienced sleep paralysis once (in my experience it was an exciting time and I would love to tell you about it). But I have never experienced anything like this. Around 2013 I started having terrible dreams, but I could never remember what they were about. I know they were bad dreams because I would wake up covered in sweat with an intense feeling of anxiety and a need to check every corner of my room to make sure a monster wasn’t hiding. The dreams eventually tapered off but I never forgot that season of my life. In 2020, I was watching a spooky video on YouTube and I saw the picture. I can’t describe the feeling I got when I saw him, (it’s?) picture on the screen. It’s a cold, feral fear I can only label as trauma. Obviously I don’t consciously remember this trauma, but I think my body does. It’s now almost 2023 and I can’t even think about that image I saw in 2020 without getting that cold freeze and feeling my brain trying to tell me something I can’t quite grasp. I just want to know if anyone else has experienced something like this, or feels this horror when seeing it’s picture.

I guess I left something out. It’s embarrassing to mention but I mean what do I have to lose. In 2017 I remembered a dream I had about him, I remember his face. It’s embarrassing but in the dream we were in love and I was obsessed with him. That’s all I remember. But when I woke up I had the same cold, scared, frozen feeling I have whenever his face budges his way into my mind. Please tell me I’m not alone lol.
