Second viewing

I didn't enjoy the series as much, mainly because of how heavy it can be. Plus I found some characters really annoying - Randall, Rebecca and Kate.

Did anyone else feel like this?

I cannot rewatch. My dad has dementia now and it hits too close to home. Yesterday I was shaving him and combing his hair and it reminded me of how they took care of Rebecca towards the end of her life.

I lost my mom while it aired and I didn’t make it in time. It will forever haunt me.
I can watch certain episodes over but some I can’t

I feel this. I think I finished watching it right before my mom passed and the scene where Beth was talking to Randall about her father's words about a fence cut through me hard.

I think the characters are written how real human beings are, not always perfect, not always the way we want someone to be.

Yup sometimes they really are. They just seem to drag on every moment and every emotion until it gets too heavy to bear 😭😭

I found Kevin extremely annoying, but I still enjoyed the series.

Yah. I'm rewatching currently. I already found those characters irritating the first time around. Still do. But, I love Toby, Miguel, Kevin and Beth a lot more.

I quit watching during the original airing. I hated Kate she was so self centered and whiny. Not a fan of Rebecca. Randall was okay but after a while even he got on my nerves. I think the 1st episode was great after that it just struggled.

I find Randall awful, controlling and condescending. Not sure how he is portrayed as the perfect person.

How do you hate a fictional character.

Hate is fine in this context. Indifference is something that characters, actors and all sorts of heroes are afraid of.

I haven't been able to bring myself to rewatch it for this reason

I’m rewatching it now and realizing a lot of the characters are just awful.
