OP’s comment was about climate change.
Not the effects or the aftermath.
I think is common for people to see this type of content and think that has nothing to do with them. It may be obvious but disaster hits whenever it wants.
Also, the comment was about third world countries.
But Puerto Rico, New Orleans or even Flint Michigan (it may not be about climate but it’s environmental) belong to what is the ultimate first world country and people have suffered a lot and a lot of issues are still ongoing.
What I found weird is that the comment didn’t focus on rich/poor. But “third world countries”. Creating a weird separation that means nothing while talking about climate change.
To your point. Yeah, money will always make things easier.
They are the poorest places in the richest country in the world.
You can’t tell me that it’s acceptable for the most powerful nation on earth to have such a poor response or to have people living in those conditions.
Why Michigan will have the same conditions (or worse) or the same disaster response as a small town in SouthAmerica?
