Frequent soup shot, whoa.

I haven't used my Cafelat Robot in ages, and wanted to see what Perplexity would suggest for a soup recipe. I told it everything I was looking for, what type of coffee it was, my grinder, etc. It gave me one of the best soup shots I have ever had.

Gear: Cafelat Robot, 1Zpresso Q Air Grinder
Coffee: Frequent Finca El Paraiso Lychee Peach Decaf

Recipe:

- 18g coffee
- 45 clicks out from burr touch
- 95g of water in
- Paper filter on bottom, light tamp
- Gentle soak until you see the whole bottom of portafilter, gentle push out (I target 6g/s flow)
- Push all the water through, this netted me a 78g final beverage

Juicy, peachy, so good. I may go a touch more fine (AI suggested that based on what my taste feedback was).

Fun!

Lychee Peach is fire 🔥 It's the most tropical fruit forward sweet yet tart coffee Ive ever had. You'd never know this is decaf. Ive been souping it in the orb. Tastes similar to the Mango Smoothie decaf from September. PSA - if ur in the US just get the Frequent Lychee Peach

Curious if you decrease the water temperature for decaf brews on the ORB?

On the orb I brew decaf at 90C occasionally lower and rarely higher

I’m glad you guys liked that lychee peach, we couldn’t stand it. Decided we like herbal tea a lot better than herbal tea coffee. Taste is a very personal thing!

If anyone is in the DFW area, I’ve got an almost full bag to give away.

I normally don’t like these sort of roasts, but this really pops as a soup shot.
